You aren't ready for AI in 2024...

Hello Reader!

Welcome to Visually AI!

Where to begin?

Shall we start with OpenAI who bought a couple of companies?

What about ChatGPT being widely available on Mac?

Or the fact Toys 'R' Us made an ad with Sora... yes SORA! The AI video generation tool we've all been waiting for.

Or perhaps Eleven Labs partnering with Time.

How about Claude 3.5 Sonnet model?

Hmmm, maybe Suno and Udio getting sued by labels?

Or an AI Al Michaels announcing the Olympics...

Okay...

Let's dial it back.

We've got a lot to get through, and I will do my best to cover as much as I can!

Claude 3.5 Sonnet

Claude recently released the Claude 3.5 Sonnet model, which represents the first in its 3.5 model family. This new model has significantly improves upon its predecessors, notably the Claude 3 Opus, in terms of intelligence and speed.

The Claude 3.5 Sonnet offers twice the processing speed of the Opus model, making it highly efficient for complex tasks like context-sensitive customer support and multi-step workflow automation.

On top of that, 3.5 excels in graduate-level reasoning, undergraduate-level knowledge, and coding proficiency.

Let's break that down: It scored 92.0% in zero-shot code evaluations, outperforming OpenAI’s GPT-4 and Google’s Gemini 1.5 Pro.

And if that wasn't enough, it has enhanced capabilities in visual reasoning, making it suitable for interpreting charts, graphs, and transcribing text from imperfect images.

Now I know you want to use it, so here you go:

Claude 3.5 Sonnet is available for free on Claude.ai and the Claude iOS app, with higher usage limits for Claude Pro and Team plan subscribers. You can also access Claude via the Anthropic API, Amazon Bedrock, and Google Cloud’s Vertex AI.

The model costs $3 per million input tokens and $15 per million output tokens and supports up to 200,000 tokens per prompt.

Here's a snippet of what you can do:

IMGGEN AI Text Remover

This week, I discovered The IMGGEN AI Text Remover, and it is a very handy tool. We know how AI can bring on the unwanted writing at times and IMMGEN AI is designed to remove that text from images quickly and efficiently.

This tool leverages advanced artificial intelligence to detect and erase text while preserving the original background, making the process seamless and incredibly user-friendly.

Here is that process:

By the way, did I mention this tool is FREE!

IMGGEN AI also offers a variety of other image enhancement tools, such as image upscalers, background removers, and photo sharpeners, which further enhance the capabilities of users in handling and processing their images.

Check it out

Magnific Relight

Magnific AI has recently launched a feature called Relight, which enables users to modify the lighting and background of images using advanced artificial intelligence.

This tool is particularly useful for creating realistic and varied scenes, allowing for greater flexibility in image editing without the need for professional skills.

Users can adjust the lighting through text prompts such as “change the lighting to sci-fi neon green,” by using reference images, or by creating custom light maps. This capability enhances the versatility of image manipulation, making it possible to transform the mood and setting of photos effortlessly.

You can see an example here:

Despite its advanced capabilities, Relight does have some limitations. It may struggle with images containing multiple people or small faces, sometimes resulting in unintended changes to facial features. Furthermore, the output options are currently limited to common formats like JPG or PNG, which may not meet the needs of users requiring high-resolution files.

Relight is currently in beta testing and will soon be available to all Magnific AI users. For more information on Relight, click here: Magnific AI website

Suno & Udio getting sued...

Suno and Udio, the two major AI music startups I have spoken about in recent weeks, are facing lawsuits from major record labels Sony Music, Universal Music Group, and Warner Records.

The lawsuits alleges that Suno and Udio used copyrighted recordings to train their AI systems without permission, leading to significant copyright infringement. These AI systems reportedly replicated elements from famous songs and generated vocals that closely mimic artists such as Michael Jackson and Bruce Springsteen.

The legal actions, filed in New York and Massachusetts, are seeking damages of up to $150,000 per song copied. The record labels argue that the unauthorized use of their recordings to train AI models undermines the value of human-created music and infringes on artists’ rights. The labels have also criticized the companies for being opaque about the materials used to train their AI systems.

This lawsuit is part of a broader trend of legal challenges in the AI industry regarding the use of copyrighted material to train generative models. The outcome of this case could have significant implications for the future of AI and intellectual property rights in the creative industries.

We will keep a close eye on this one....

AI at the 2024 Olympics

It's all happening.

I don't think anyone expected this either.

NBC announced its plans to use an artificial clone of sports broadcaster Al Michaels' voice to narrate its daily streaming recaps of the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris.

This is another major company embracing AI, signalling what is to come.
