🎬My AI Short Film: The Last Mission

This week, I made another short AI film called The Last Mission, with my business partner, Thomas Haynes.

With Sora looming in the background, there has been a huge increase in video generation tools trying to make their own mark in the past month or so.

Perhaps a small scramble with what Sora showcased and other companies not wanting to get left behind, but it made me even more keen to try out some new developments.

We took advantage of the new technology including:

The year may be 2024, where fans can create the films they always wanted.

The series which got cut after the pilot, or the film which couldn't run for budget purposes.

No more.

Exciting times are ahead, and while there may be question marks over the impact it has on Hollywood, or legal concerns; I think we can look on the positive side here.

I for sure will be making more mini movies in the coming months and especially with Midjourney’s new character consistency parameters being so good, I made a cameo appearance in this film!

(What film would you like me to be the star off?)

Even better, you can be your own hero in your own story!

The director, story teller and minimal budget to restrict you!

This week, Stability AI released Stable Video 3D (SV3D) - a text or image-to-3D generator based on stable Video Diffusion.

It’s available for commercial purposes through Stability AI membership, and non-commercial users can download model weights on HuggingFace. (link)

Read the SV3D research paper here.

Stable Video 3D uses novel view synthesis (NVS) to generate 3D views from many angles, without changing the overall image. You can view all examples on their website: Stability AI

Remix AI 3D Animation

Remix launched a 3D animation feature, powered by Stable Video 3D.

You can generate a short 3D video with one click, as easily as generating any image on the app. Remix says they plan to add more open-source features as soon as they become available.

Remix is available as a mobile app for Apple and Android devices. Download the app here.
