AI Music Wars Have Begun...

Hello Reader, Today, we dive into a world of AI music... UdioUdio is latest AI music tool and it’s been getting a LOT of attention! Of course, it’s being compared to Suno AI and some people are choosing sides (if it was that easy!) I wrote about Suno AI’s Version 3 last week, with a sample of my first Suno-created music track, here. Personally, I am all for more competition, options, and types of generative AI tools, especially when they are free! Udio is currently free and allows you to generate up to 600 songs per month. You can try Udio here, and here's a quick tutorial: It’s very simple to use, and you don’t need to know anything about music. Just type a short description of what you want to hear and choose Custom, Instrumental, or Auto-generated with lyrics:  When you’re finished, you can download the audio file and/or a video, like this one: This is a link to my cinematic score for a Viking drama called “Saga of the North.” I used that track in this video clip for a project I’m working on: With major development's in recent weeks through the progress of AI music with platforms such as Suno & Udio, 200 artists including the the likes of Nicki Minaj, Katy Perry and Billie Eilish have expressed their concerns here. As I have mentioned previously, I think humans will always want human connection. And while the gap may be bridged in terms of skill level, people will still want real artists and to maintain that connection to their favourite musicians. As the pendulum shifts one way, it will swing back in the other direction. Adobe's major announcementFor some AI creators, having so many tools is becoming a bit of a faff. You need Midjourney, Runway, Topaz, Capcut etc... all to create what you want. If this is the case, this announcement from Adobe may excite you...
